Flowers at Alcatraz

On a visit to Alcatraz, right after graduating with my master's degree, I saw these flowers with the San Francisco skyline beyond. I had to get on my stomach to get this shot, but it was worth it. In the original photograph, the skyline is clearer (e.g. the TransAmerica building in the center), but the contrast is too subtle for this color palette.
